GOD’s Narrative on George Floyd’s Death

Incubation Time = Over
Implementation Time = Now

Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial and made great lamentation over him.3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison.” Acts 8:1-3 (NKJV)

Early last month during our team’s all night prayer session, the HOLY SPIRIT told us the principality of racism with all its assistants, according to Ephesians 6:12, had been released in full force into the USA. We did not know that George Floyd would be murdered.

His death, which is all over social media, was the trigger the LORD allowed, just like Stephen, to move HIS Body, whom HE has given the solution, into action. Because of Stephen’s death:

  • The believers were scattered all over the known world carrying the Gospel.
  • Philip went into Samaria and met the Ethiopian Treasurer – one of many accounts of the Gospel going to Africa.
  • Saul travelled on the Damascus road and met JESUS. He took the Gospel to the Gentiles and wrote two-thirds of the New Testament.

All this occurred from the catalyst of Stephen’s death.

But what does the LORD want to happen with George’s death?

  • The LORD wants HIS children to release a groan (pray, fast, give, go) in the HOLY SPIRIT and in the physical for Justice and Judgement in this decade.
  • HE is looking to heal racial divides within HIS Body. We cannot have a voice in the world if we will not even listen to each other in the Church.
  • HE wants us to physically reach out to our brothers and sisters of other cultures with HIS love and forgiveness on both sides so we can move forward.

JESUS did not begin publicly preaching until John the Baptist died. There is something about death that is a catalyst in both the spirit and physical worlds (Matthew 4).

After all, JESUS HIMSELF had to die so that we all may live.

This word of the LORD caused me to examine myself. How many multicultural friends do I have? Do I actively reach out to other races? Am I willing to step out of my comfort zone to talk to that one who is not like me?

Incubation period is over.
It’s time for the Body of JESUS CHRIST to love each other regardless of skin color.

35 By this all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 NKJV

t is time to put feet to the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT burning within us.
Its time for implementation.

I See the Evidence of the LORD in You

32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. 33 I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. 34Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. 35 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”  Acts 20:32-35 (NKJV)

What made Paul keep going back? What did he see? What did he know that many of us, including myself, have lost over the years? Why did Paul, the one who wrote two-thirds of the New Testament, keep going back to places where he knew persecution was waiting for him?

He saw the LORD.

On the Damascus Road, Paul met face-to-FACE with JESUS the CHRIST.
I think of Dr. David Livingston (1813-1873), who left everything comfortable to share JESUS with Africans, exposing Portuguese slave trade routes and paying for it with his life. He died in his mud hut in the middle of Africa, while kneeling to pray.

Have we seen the LORD?

I think of the woman with skin eating cancer on her face, the disabled ten-year-old girl, whose entire world is limited to her bed, or even the disabled widow whom you, the WeRemnant Family, continue to feed even during COVID-19.

When we see the LORD, the encounter changes us. We realize that all lives don’t just matter; rather, they are equal in the eyes of the LORD who died for all of us on the same Cross, on the same day, at the same time. After all, we were all created in HIS Image.

Have we seen the LORD?

When we see the LORD, we continue to pray, fast, give and go to the ends of the world. We do all this to express, witness, and demonstrate all of HIM to everyone. We do all this, even when it hurts, even when we are not accepted, even when it’s not comfortable. We still give and we still go.

Thank you for being the people who have seen the LORD and choose to express HIM through your giving. Thank you for being the Hands and Feet of JESUS to everyone the LORD puts our way to serve.

Want to take it one step further?

Consider coming to our 2020 Healing and Deliverance Conference to meet some of the missionaries we support. The 2021 medical and building mission trip to Kenya is also an opportunity to go on prophetic missions and serve the people the LORD has sent us.

Until we go, until we spend ourselves for JESUS and HIS people, we cannot really, truly see the LORD. The encounter must cost us something. In return, it must change us.
Prayerfully consider joining your WeRemnant Family on these journeys to encounter GOD.

Reclaiming Fatherhood

“And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” HE is committed to men reconnecting to our original purpose.
Malachi 4:6 (NKJV)

At the inception of the world, the LORD GOD created Man in HIS own image and according to HIS likeness in Genesis 1:27, giving Man dominion, “rulership,” over everything else that was created. HE created Man and gave him a specific assignment, whereas he was to name or assign a word or set of words by which a person, animal, place, or thing is known, addressed, or referred to.

It was part of the LORD GOD’s divine plan to establish Adam and set leadership order in his life. The LORD GOD, understanding Adam’s need for companionship, created Woman and allowed Adam to exercise that same leadership position by allowing him to speak and assign her a name, as we see in Genesis 2:23: “And Adam said: ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’”

At the very foundation of creation, God established order and appointed men to be loving servant-leaders in the home even when things do not go according to plan. We see that Adam continued to do what he knew to do even after he renamed his wife as we read in Genesis 3:20: “And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” Carefully observing Scripture, we see that the naming of Eve and the covering of both Adam and Eve occurred before they were driven out of the Garden.

God desires for every man to reclaim the original position that was assigned to them in the Garden. Man lost his divine ability to lead when he was removed from the Garden by the LORD GOD, or YAHWEH ELOHIM, but he walked out of the Garden with a remnant of divine care as revealed by the tunics of skin GOD sewed for man and woman in Genesis 3:21.

This Father’s Day, our Heavenly FATHER continues to search for men who will stand and return to the rightful place of leadership in their homes, family and community. Ezekiel 22:30 says, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before ME on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

The challenges the children of Israel were having was the breakdown of their leaders; the men caused the issue by disobeying GOD. We see the deterioration of the home in Isaiah 3:12 where it says, “As for MY people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err and destroy the way of your paths.”

The prophet was not belittling women or children, but he was communicating the signs of the deterioration of the culture that starts in the home. This is similar to what we see in today’s churches which are dominated by 60 to 70 percent of women. Men aren’t in their proper place of leadership. Divorce rates are over 50 percent. Young men choose not to take care of their children. Women are forced to take spiritual and natural leadership roles because the man either is not present or he leads in a non-loving, non-compassionate , non-Godly way.

Our men are wounded leaders, forgetting about what was given to them, the tunic of skin – the reminder that GOD has provided for them even in HIS anger. Our GOD has placed divine care over every man as HE sent HIS SON to be a path to reclaim our proper position in the home and reclaim our rightful role of leadership.

This role can only be reclaimed by the in-working of the HOLY SPIRIT assigned to us by JESUS CHRIST. When the LORD returns, HE reveals to us that HE will establish order in the family.

This Father’s Day, reclaim your position through CHRIST and return to assigning and naming things for your family, for your community, for your church and for your nation. There is an orderly anointing that has been given to you; possess it and reclaim it. If you are a woman, pray for the young and older men in your world. Connect them to Men’s Groups that are committed to teaching and equipping them in a relevant way. Now is the season for the men to rise and usher in revival.

LORD, All I Have Is a Little Oil

2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” 2 Kings 4:2 (NKJV)
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” 8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” John 6:7-9 (NKJV)

When WeRemnant began back in 2018, we thought it impossible to build one village school in Kenya. We didn’t know where money to build the metal roof would come from, or even the bricks. Then the need for a source of clean water became evident. Ok, really GOD? A church, school, and clean water? How do we fundraise? How do we ask strangers for money?

But GOD.

Today, just two years later, WeRemnant has over 230 students in two village schools, supports 14 pastors, and dug seven wells for clean water in Kenya alone. We are also doing work in Uganda, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Liberia, and Nigeria. How? Our oil multiplied.

The widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7 had nothing except for a little oil. But she knew who to turn to when everything was hopeless. The GOD of everything who can do anything came through for her. Her hope was not disappointed. The oil did not stop flowing until she was out of jars to contain it. The number of jars she had represented her faith level. If she only borrowed five jars, the oil would have filled only five jars. If she borrowed all the jars in the neighborhood, she would have had oil for a few years. If she had borrowed all the jars in Israel…well, you get the point.

The WeRemnant story is no different from the story of our partner, Inga Ministries. Greg and Noelle Nichols were called by the LORD to love HIS children. Noelle and I met at a Voice of the Martyrs conference in 2019. Noelle drove three hours to get to the conference, and I drove two. GOD caused us to meet right in the middle. We have been sisters joined at the hip ever since.

When Inga Ministries officially began in September 2018, their mission was to provide evangelism and discipleship in the Rwenzori Mountain region of Uganda. They have since expanded to include purchasing land and building a primary school in Kyalanga with over 100 students; purchasing land to build a boarding school to educate and protect orphans and children who have been persecuted for their faith; feeding the hungry in Uganda, India and Bangladesh; and assisting in the education of several Christian ministers. In addition to all of this, they have a small evangelistic outreach to Muslims in Ghana.

The little they had, HE multiplied and caused it to reach India, Bangladesh, Ghana and Uganda.

When the little boy in John 6 donated his lunch of five barley loaves and two small fish, even the disciples did not expect it to feed a multitude. They had seen JESUS heal the sick, cast out demons, and cleanse lepers…but feed thousands of people with little to nothing? No way.

Until HE did.

When we ask GOD for great things, impossible things, it proves HIS Greatness to us and to others when HE gives them to us. I have learned that if what I ask for does not exist, HE will create it for me. Sometimes, HE will even use me to create it. When it is done, I am confounded. So why should we ask for little when we can ask for great?

Every gift given towards this work is multiplied by JESUS CHRIST.

So as usual, I thank you for your gifts. HE is using it to feed, educate, clothe, rescue, and care for multitudes.

Love-Life with JESUS

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Romans 13:14 (NKJV)

What does it mean that I no longer live, but CHRIST lives in me?

Could it mean that this life I live – my wants, my needs, my desires, my will – must be replaced by HIS wants, HIS needs, HIS desires, HIS will, even when HIS will is in direct opposition to my best interest and self-preservation?

WeRemnant members and many persecuted Christians around the world say, “Yes, absolutely. Welcome to my everyday life.”

This also means we are consistently preferring the JESUS-way over our political, traditional, tribal, socioeconomic ways.

When we think of it that way, it seems to me that loving JESUS is not just a cute phrase after all. In fact, it sounds like an action statement. It sounds like, and is, a battle cry against self-glorification, self-idolization, and self-devotion. My love for JESUS means that I die to my will and live for HIS will alone.

Sounds harsh.  But that is the Christian walk, everyday.

It is a life of selfless sacrifice unto the LORD, to be used by HIM to care for others in need and many whom the world has forgotten or abandoned. That is the love-life with JESUS way.

GOD reminds us in 1 Corinthians 1:27-29, that HE has chosen the forgotten, the broken, the despised.

27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (NKJV)
We, the Remnant of JESUS CHRIST, know this already. Flowery words of man, circumstances, and false gestures of ideologies do not move us. We the Remnant, received a Heart transplant. We gave JESUS our hearts, and HE gave us HIS Heart.

As a result of this transplant, we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, come to the aid of the sick, build schools, dig wells, provide medical supplies and put processes in place to rescue abandoned infants. Your generosity is a direct result of your heart transplant and the items above, are the tangible results.

Your gifts of love make these things happen every day for those the world despises but GOD has not forgotten.
Our love for JESUS results in actions. Those actions demonstrate HIM to the world. To continue to support our WeRemnant family, please visit https://weremnant.org/donate

JESUS Like to Party

“17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. 18 Then the king made a great feast, the Feast of Esther, for all his officials and servants; and he proclaimed a holiday in the provinces and gave gifts according to the generosity of a king.” Esther 2:17-18 (NKJV)

“13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. 14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” Luke 14:13-14 (NKJV)

As I meditated on the words of these Scriptures, the first thing that jumped out at me was the word “feast.” What was a feast in the days of Esther or in the days when JESUS walked the earth in the flesh?

It was like a party – only longer. There was food, gift-giving, music, and dancing for days!

When GOD took Esther from exiled, immigrant, orphaned, undervalued young girl to queen of the same nation holding her people captive, it was a miracle. Factor in the short timeline of just 12 months, and it is just mind blowing.

Esther came from the wrong side of the world, so much so, that Mordecai, her older cousin turned adopted father, told her to hide her Jewish heritage. He changed her name from Hadassah to Esther. Yet GOD had bigger plans and put her in the palace to save an entire nation from extinction.

A simple nobody girl, transformed into a queen-savior in just one year.
She got a feast and a holiday.

Go girl!

JESUS told the parable of a rich man who prepared for a feast and invited his friends. The friends decided they were too busy to honor his invitation. So, the rich man in JESUS’ story told his servants to go and invite all the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.

GOD does not undervalue anyone. HE sees HIS image in all of us, all the time. That is why HE is the one who proves HIS power by using the least likely to do the greatest things. King David was the youngest of his brothers. Solomon was the son of the adulterous wife turned widow, turned queen.

That is just how HE rolls.

When we, HIS Remnant, follow HIS example and “invite” the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind into our hearts, and care for them, we are behaving like, loving like, giving like our FATHER in Heaven.

On behalf of those that can never repay you for your JESUS-like kindness, I personally thank you for your generosity. Through your JESUS-like actions, we feed, clothe, educate and provide hope to the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.

May our FATHER, who sees what you have done in secret, reward you openly both now in the land of the living, and at the resurrection of the Just. Amen.

Light Up Your Sub-World

“Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Isaiah 60:1-3 (NKJV)

As we watch the events of this nation and the world, it is easy to get discouraged. It seems everywhere we turn, there is darkness. Evil seems to be winning, overcoming good. It seems like there is always a tragedy or catastrophe, an earthquake, a tornado, hate group on the rise, war, incurable virus, biological weapons, unrest, political turmoil leading to war, death. Darkness is increasing, deep darkness is covering people of all genders, ages, races, political affiliations, social-economic status.

But is there a solution to all of it? Yes.

Where is the solution? Inside you and me.

Shocking, but true.

The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD living inside each of us is the solution. I would question GOD many times and ask, “Why?” Why would HE choose to use simple, small, insignificant people like us to combat such gross, deep darkness? Then I realize that HE is asking us to carry HIS solution to the world, not to be the author of that solution.

Our GOD wants us to take the mind of CHRIST we have access to (1 Corinthians 2:16), and to take the love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, produced in each of us by HIS HOLY SPIRIT (Galatians 5:22-23) into the world.

Type image caption here (optional

When we feed the hungry, give clean water to the thirsty, provide shelter for perfect strangers, visit the sick, pray for and care for those in prison, we are implementing GOD’s solution on the earth (Matthew 25:35-40). Your participation through your gifts of love make this possible. Thank you.

But do not stop there. Be the light in the world around you. Be the voice of loving hope and change in your sphere of influence, your sub-world. Help those who need it, and do not turn away from your neighbor. Share the GOD news of JESUS CHRIST in word and in action.

Imagine if everyone did this. Evil would be completely overcome with GOD.

Let us all continue to shine the light of the glory of GOD in our sub-worlds, so everyone can find their way to CHRIST by it.  Amen.

Never Left Behind

11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.” John 10:11-18 (ESV)

The everlasting GOD, CREATOR of everything, decided to put on human flesh, weak flesh, to come and buy us back to HIMSELF at the cost of HIS own BLOOD. Wow.

No one took HIS life from HIM. HE willingly gave it up so that you and I could have life and life more abundantly – life with HIM in heaven, and abundant life here on earth – so we could see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:12-14).

You and I paid nothing, yet we received everything.

We received access to HIS promise, the ability to hear and see the very VOICE of GOD.
We can hear and trust HIS promises to us because HIS love was demonstrated so dramatically.

The Cross made news across the known world and in all generations. Until today, most calendars in most countries measure time against the Cross. The SON of GOD cannot be ignored.

HE describes HIMSELF as the Good SHEPHERD.

When the enemy comes in like a flood, HE does not run away.

When the nations and the world are in turmoil, HE gives us HIS peace that passes all understanding.
When everyone else is in fear, we have faith because we know in WHOM we trust.

It’s not positive thinking when the foundation is JESUS CHRIST.

Our GOOD SHEPHERD is reliable.

Our GOOD SHEPHERD is faithful.

Our GOOD SHEPHERD will not pick up and run when HE sees trouble coming our way, nor does HE abandon us when we are in those hard places.

On behalf of the orphans, widows, disabled persons, and elderly the LORD has called you and I to care for, those who could never repay us, I thank you.

I thank you for being like JESUS to them, for not picking up and running when things got hard.
During the COVID-19 season, our giving has increased because you refused to let the orphan go hungry.
Thank you for reflecting JESUS CHRIST’s love to them – a love none of us deserved, and none of us could ever repay.

May the GOD who loves all of us continue to express how much HE loves you as you lay down your life for those HE loves. Amen.
